FAQ FYI XOXOXO

Aside from the very embodiment of unbridled lust and the essence of human existence, what exactly do your confections contain?

All of the confections in our Fruits Both Familiar and Curious collection contain sugar, organic cacao butter, organic cacao liquor, butter, whole milk powder, salt, and soy lecithin. Soy lecithin sounds weird but it's just an emulsifier... made from soy.

We make the decor on the tops of our confections with sugar and the following food colorings: blue 1, blue 2, red 3, yellow 5, yellow 6, red 40.

And depending on the flavor, individual confections may contain any of the following: passion fruit, coconut, graviola, strawberry, lime, vanilla, and naranjilla.

Are there any potential allergens in these confections?

Yes–we do use milk and soy, as we mentioned.

Because of the nature of food processing and the very tiny sizes that particles can be, it is possible that our confections could contain traces of peanuts, tree nuts, and gluten. We don't add any of those three things on purpose, and it's not very likely that they'll turn up in any of our products, but it is theoretically possible, so take note if you have allergies to any of those three things.

I crave nutritional information. Can you provide some?

At the moment, yes. But we have plans for several new collections which we will unveil very soon. (Hint: all of them are spectacular.)

How soon will my order arrive?

We will generally ship your order within 1-3 business days of receipt. We do not ship out orders on Thursdays or Fridays to protect the quality of the goods–we don't want them to get stuck in transit on a weekend. If we are experiencing a deluge of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. We’ll send you a confirmation when your order ships. We're considerate like that. The tracking number in your confirmation will be active within 24 hours.

What if it's really hot outside? Have you thought about that?

We have. In the months of May-September, we ship all orders with cold packs and cool shield wrap to prevent any untimely melting during transit. We'll also do that during other times of the year if extreme temperature conditions arise.

Do you offer international shipping?

Not at this moment in time, but perhaps soon. Forgive us for teasing but that's all we can say about that with reasonable certainty.

What's the best way to store chocolate, assuming I don't eat all of it immediately?

Many people assume they should keep it in the fridge but that's not really the case. The best way to keep chocolate–for optimal taste, texture, and appearance–is store it in a cool, dry, place with really good air circulation. If you don't have a cool dry place with great air circulation and your only alternative is to store them somewhere hot and humid, then the fridge is fine but certainly not ideal.

What about wholesale orders?

We are primarily a direct to customer confectioner but part of what makes us good at that is being open to new things–so if you're interested in carrying our chocolates, let us know.
